Don’t forget that our next meeting will be held on Friday 28th February 2014 at Quaker House, 10 St James Street, Sheffield S1 2EW.
Information about the meeting is available now.
We now have a full programme of meetings for 2014 – further details can be found via the ‘meetings’ tab or by accessing the ‘events’ section.
NAWRA would like to wish all our members and supporters a very happy Christmas and a successful 2014. Don’t forget that we already have a full programme of events scheduled for the new year and we hope that you will be able to join us for some, or all, of them.
Thanks to everyone who attended the NAWRA meeting in Neath earlier this month. The minutes of the meeting and notes from all the workshops are available in the members’ area.
Our next meeting will be hosted by Neath Port Talbot Welfare Rights Service and will be held at The Gwyn Hall, Orchard Street, Neath, SA11 1DU on Friday 6th December 2013 from 9.30am until 4pm.
In the evening after the meeting, you are invited to come along to the annual NAWRA Christmas Party! This costs £25 per person and includes a delicious 3 course meal followed by live music and entertainment until 2am! It will be a chance to relax with colleagues and make some new friends while celebrating the launch of Universal Credit (if Santa decides to bring that this year!). If you would like to come along please contact Becky Founds
You must be a member of NAWRA to attend the meeting. If you are not already a member please complete an application form.
We are deeply saddened by the news that our friend and colleague, Phil Hanns, passed away on 28th October 2013. Phil had been vice-chair of NAWRA for many years and was much loved and respected by all of us. His passing leaves a huge gap on our executive committee and in all of our hearts.
Our thoughts and love are with his family, friends, colleagues and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
