Riley Bartholomew is a NAWRA representative for Scotland.
Riley has worked in welfare rights since 2017, first as a trainee to now establishing benefits advise service. Working solely in the third sector, initially for Deafblind Scotland and now Beatson Cancer Charity has shaped how he supports clients to navigate the benefit system through accessibility and ill health.
Riley has experience of sitting on working groups to develop Social Security Scotland (SSS) and Access to Work’s processes. He holds a BA [Hons] in Journalism and certificates in British Sign Language (BSL).
Out with his busy role he can be found on the basketball court as part of a Glasgow community team for whom is he is also a committee member.
